I BECAME A TEACHER, BECAUSE YOUR LIFE MATTERS! |

I became a teacher to share my life experiences and help children gain self-confidence and security in who they are. I am so excited to be in my seventh year of teaching at Stonebridge. I strive to have my love of cultural education mirrored by my students. Their successful strides in Spanish comprehension fosters my belief in the growth of our appreciation for social and cultural diversities.
I feel that one of the toughest challenges facing our educational system is finding new ways to make meaningful connections with our students to inspire them to want to learn. I respect the technological advances we have access to, but I want the children to be able to verbally connect and appreciate each other’s differences. Our educational system is the heart of both personal and community advancement. We, as educators, should aim to meet each child on their level in order to develop their talents, creative potential and love of learning. Instructing Spanish is giving me that opportunity to instill personal respect and valued understanding of cultural diversity.
