Mrs. Shari Farned is enthusiastic about promoting physical activity and student wellness through organized games, dance, and creative play. She is just as dedicated to assisting our educators with their daily lessons. The opportunities present in the classroom like, cutting, coloring, sorting, critical thinking, body movements, and postural sitting, all contribute to the hand-eye coordination and balance needed to participate in the physical activities of P.E. She feels the main goals in the elementary years are to assist in the development of cognitive & motor skills, knowledge of proper body mechanics, and appropriate exercise and eating habits.
Shari encourages her students to de-stress through physical exercise, creative play, or even taking a nap. She feels children and parents would benefit from exercising together. Incorporating family time with walks around the block, playing in the park, bicycling, dancing, or any heart-pumping activity will provide children with the importance of making healthy choices for the rest of their lives.
Mrs. Farned applauds parental involvement and welcomes any questions or concerns you may have.
