Dear Parents,
Our 3rd grade classes and up will be taking the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) this next week starting on Monday, October 10. It is important to make sure your child gets plenty of rest starting Sunday night. We are working with the kids to make sure they try their best on the test to allow us to have an accurate assessment of their strengths as well as needed areas of improvement. You can help us by:
We will also be rewarding the students with lunch from a local restaurant. The reward is for the students that are observed working to the best of their ability on the test. Lastly, we will have breakfast (sausage biscuits and juice) Monday morning for the students. Be sure to come a few minutes early (anytime after 7:40am) to give them time to have breakfast before class starts. Thank you for your help! Warm Regards, Wren Hawthorne Head of School Stonebridge Academy Be Kind, Work Hard, Get Smart P.S. For our 8th grade students this test serves as the basis for evaluating their reading level to meet requirements for their driver’s license.
